We had the pleasure of working with Macro Micro Architecture and their director, Sebastian. From the start, Sebastian brought innovative designs and a fresh perspective to our project—something we hadn’t seen from others we consulted with. His attention to detail and creativity truly stood out. Throughout the entire process, the team worked in a timely and efficient manner, consistently exceeding our expectations at every stage. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services and look forward to collaborating with them again in the future.

Having worked with Macro Micro Architecture on an international architectural project I can confirm that the practice is committed to providing inventive and beautifully designed Architecture. I was particularly impressed by their commitment to sustainable construction solutions particularly the use of CLT timber. I whole hardheartedly recommend the practice for your architectural and design needs.

Heritage Loft Conversion
"Sebastian was great to work with. He presented ideas in 2D and 3D that I'd not considered which allowed me to choose the space that now gives me a sense of awe daily now. He worked with the functional needs to add a modern beautiful design to a historic space."

Seaview House
"I recently had the pleasure of working closely with Sebastian Elliott on a unique home located here in Victoria BC we now call “Puzzle House”. This is a landmark home for Victoria and was an extremely challenging project due to the complex nature of the structure. Sebastian's ability to understand both architectural design goals as well as constructability issues was impressive.
Sebastian's keen attention to detail while still maintaining close communication, delivery of key information and details kept this very complex project moving forward. I would highly recommend Sebastian to anyone looking for a top tier architect to work with to achieve architecture beyond expectations."

The Team
Sebastian Elliott. Director.
RIBA & ARB registered architect.
I founded the practice to create deeply adored places through attention to both the macro and micro scales of high-performance, low-carbon architecture.
Before establishing Macro Micro Architects in 2023, I worked at several international practices on award-winning projects, including the mass-timber specialists Michael Green Architects, the critically acclaimed Patkau Architects, and 5plus Architects in London. I studied at the University of Brighton at both undergraduate and master’s level, graduating with Distinction and receiving the RIBA South East Prize and the RIBA Sussex Prize for my student work. I qualified as an architect at the University of Westminster in 2016.
Outside the office, I enjoy running, cycling, skiing, reading historical non-fiction and trying our new recipes with the newest kitchen gadgets for my family. If you mention bikes, I’ll try to persuade you to join me for a sunrise ride.

Ernest Klinicki. Part 1 Architectural Assistant.
I am particularly interested in the social impact of architecture and how design decisions shape how spaces are used and experienced, with an awareness of how these ideas translate into built form and the gap that can exist between intention and reality.

I joined the practice in October 2025 as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant, contributing to concept design, technical drawings, visualisation, and research across residential projects. I have been involved in late-stage work on Ravenscourt Road, as well as the design and delivery of St Leonard’s Road, a residential project exploring low-carbon strategies within an existing urban fabric.

I studied at the University of Brighton and am currently undertaking a year in practice as part of my architectural education. Alongside my studies, I have gained experience working on construction sites, informing my understanding of the building process.

Ben Lindsey. Part 1 Architectural Assistant.
I joined Macro Micro Architects as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant in 2026, having graduated with a First Class BA from the University of Brighton. My studies sparked a keen interest in the interplay between technical building systems and analytical design thinking.

Before joining the practice, I completed a mentorship at Arcadis in Brighton, where I gained hands-on experience with complex digital modelling and collaborative project workflows. A commitment to design quality and technical rigour saw my work shortlisted for the John Andrews Drawing Prize and the Brighton Architecture Diary Community Impact Award, alongside a feature in the Architects' Journal 2025 Student Prize.
Outside the studio, I stay active through football, golf, and the occasional run.

Arabella Dawson. Studio Manager.
With many years working in the architecture industry, I love being part of the built environment and seeing projects come to life. As a Studio Manager, I assist the team with the day-to-day operations to keep things running smoothly, so everyone can focus on delivering great work.

Outside the studio, I can usually be found at my sewing machine, experimenting in the kitchen, or out on a run with my dog.

The Studio
We are a collaborative and inquisitive studio who engage to understand our clients values, and transform them into adored places.

Macro Micro Architects was founded in London in 2023. After returning from a deep dive into the macro and microcosms of critical architecture, low carbon materials and passive design in the UK, Brazil and North America, Sebastian started the practice in his hometown to provide adored sustainable places.
